New Year's Day 2007

WOW,

What a day! A nice sunny, windy day at Mariner's Point.
Good food and friends, wonderful demos from more people this year and a not to shabby auction and raffle. My personal thanks to everyone that helped: The Board, Rugulach Dave, Dave and Iris, Walter, CIA Wayne, Ron Desperado and Daryld. Thanks also to Earl the Pearl for his efforts and long trip to secure our sound system (which worked very well) and to Dave Mitchell for spotting a great inverter at a great price which powered the system with out need of a generator! I specially enjoyed watching some younger folks out there flying demos, like Ben (about 3.5 feet tall) and young Mr. Alex Herzog  who flies like he has experience double his age. Of course a big thanks to Team Too Much Fun, always a pleasure.

If I've forgotten anyone, please excuse. Finally, thanks to all the members and friends that came out with food and fellowship. We
may not always get things done right, but New Year's Day is the exception.

Happy New Year,

Bill Pietrusza

From the Yahoo! newsgroup:

"Thanks back to all the club members who put together such a great venue for all of us to have good fun and fellowship, and especially for enough wind that we didn't have to run too much this year :)
Your efforts ARE very much appreciated even though we're frequently too busy flying and talking with friends too seldom seen to be as much help as we maybe should be. I know I speak for many when I say that New Year's Day with the SDKC is an event that we look forward to all year long ... can we do it again the first of July???  ;-)"
